Ride Charlottesville & Albemarle County With Us

CURRENT ONGOING GROUP RIDES: Sunday Funday! Join us every Sunday morning for a group road ride in the Charlottesville, Virginia area! We'll meet at a different location each week, including our Downtown shop on Preston Ave. This is a beginner to intermediate ride. Pace will be beginner / casual, but some comfort with sharing the road with motorists and light climbing ability is required. You'll need a road bike, helmet, daytime running lights and water/fluids. Our pace will be 10 to 14 mph, depending on group fitness level.

MONTHLY SUNDAY GRAVEL 

Join the Blue Ridge Cyclery Charlottesville crew in Earlysville for a cooler months gravel ride series. Happening monthly - on the second Sunday of each month (next ride: DECEMBER 8)

These rides are designed to be fun and casual with the goal of getting beginner gravel riders more confident and gaining miles throughout the winter months. 

Rides start at 10am - be sure to arrive early and ready to ride at 10am.

Requirements: 

  • Mechanically sound gravel, hybrid, or even a hard-tail mountain bike. 
  • Helmet
  • Rear blinky light (front blinky highly recommended, too).
  • Sufficient hydration and nutrition for the route 
  • Flat repair kit with spare tube and, if you’re running tubeless, tire plugs.

What: 20ish miles of beginner-friendly gravel/pavement riding.

Join Shawn as he leads the charge on a route of his choosing - so it is bound to be fun! And if the group wants to ride more, that is absolutely an option.

This will be a beginner-friendly ride, with regrouping at intersections and regular intervals.

Where: Ride starts from the Teventrails field | 5420 Markwood Road, Earlysville VA
(please note this is private property and not accessible outside of scheduled events and rides)

When: Sunday, December 8, 2024 | 10 am RIDE TIME - arrive early to park and get ready
