Ride Charlottesville & Albemarle County With Us

CURRENT ONGOING GROUP RIDES: Sunday Funday! Join us every Sunday morning for a group road ride in the Charlottesville, Virginia area! We'll meet at a different location each week, including our Downtown shop on Preston Ave. This is a beginner to intermediate ride. Pace will be beginner / casual, but some comfort with sharing the road with motorists and light climbing ability is required. You'll need a road bike, helmet, daytime running lights and water/fluids. Our pace will be 10 to 14 mph, depending on group fitness level.

MT IDA - 17 mi

This Sunday the ride will be in the Mt Ida area. Park at Tasting Room & Taphouse at Mount Ida Reserve.

Come join the crew for an awesome 17 miles route. There is the possibility of wine/beer/food at the tap house after (and maybe even a coffee truck outside).

MONDAY URBAN SHOP RIDES

Monday, April 22: Approximately 5 miles of 50/50 road/trail (but the trail is fairly tame) starting at Azalea Park. Mountain bikes are recommended (or cross bikes with experience with riding on trails).

Blue Ridge Cyclery Urban Ride (BRCUR) is a weekly Monday evening ride that will migrate start locations around Charlottesville. Sometimes mountain bikes, other times gravel bikes - every time FUN!

Beginner friendly with a few very short sections of beginner/intermediate technical trail which can be sessioned or walked to riders' level of comfort. Relaxed pace, expected to be about 45 mins- one hour.

Ride Requirements:

  1. Helmet, blinking tail light, and proper bike for the terrain
  2. Hydration - water in a bottle or pack
  3. Routes should be downloaded to a phone or navigation device. While the rides are no-drop, it is best to have the routes should something happen.

WEDNESDAYS MTB AT FOREST LAKES

Wednesdays: Forest Lakes MTB Ride! Join Forest Lakes residents David and Emily for a single track adventure around the neighborhood trails from the North Pool Parking Lot.

This ride is beginner friendly ride with the ability to divide into different skill level groups. Families and riders of all skill levels are welcome. Come out and have some mid-week fun!

THURSDAY FUN AT O'HILL

Every Thursday: John from BRC Downtown will be leading a weekly Thursday evening mountain bike ride at Observatory Hill!

Arrive early for parking at the reactionary flow lab and be ready to shred at 5:45. Ride will last for one-hour and the route will change based on group size, ability, and desire to session features.
