Blue Ridge Cyclery was founded in 2010 in Charlottesville, Virginia in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Owners Shawn and Jenny Tevendale share a love of cycling and wanted to create a shop that was accessible to all levels of riding.
Proudly offering a wide variety of high-quality bicycles and accessories to suit a range of cycling types and cyclist experience. BRC also provides expert mechanical service to keep bikes on the roads and trails as long as possible and is deeply committed to supporting and nurturing the local cycling community.

Assistant Manager
A position that assists the managers in supervising the daily store operations. Provide feedback to improve the store's profit, effectively resolve client's issues, and assist customers on the sales floor. Candidates applying for the job should have excellent customer service skills and relevant experience in sales.

Bike Assembly Tech / Mechanic Assistant

Bicycle Technician (Levels 1-6)
Technicians are the the heart of the service department. Our technicians, on an average day, will do anything from build new bikes, diagnose issues, and repair/maintain bikes checked in for service. Communication is key, with other staff as well as customers, so must be able to communicate effectively.

Service Manager
The service manager is the operations lead for the Service Center—and is ultimately accountable for all decisions relating to workflow, staffing of mechanics, and to ensure every customer has the best possible experience.
This role is right for someone that is high energy, has excellent communication skills, and is able to handle multiple tasks at one time efficiently.

Seasonal/Junior Workers
These positions are a combination of sales floor and assembly/service. (Yes, we will help you learn to build and work on bikes). You must be able to commit availability to work at least 20-30 hours per week when on breaks from school and two weekend days a month when school is in session.
Minimum age of 16 (state requirement because of the workshop areas in our stores.)
